 IN REGARDS TO

These reflections which I offer to the reader are intended to present the fruits of my research. They are ordered according to a simple classification whose main axis remains the question of religion.

However, these texts also bear witness to another reality with which all researchers have been confronted at least once in their reading or writing their reflections: that of crossing the thresholds of intellectual understanding.

The cognitive difference, established by philosophers like H. Bergson or W. James, between degrees of intensity and qualitative leaps, which applies equally to the writing of a text, to the understanding of the phenomena of human evolution or states of consciousness, is a process that I have encountered regularly in my scholarly research.

The degrees of intensity of a phenomenon are comparable to those of an affect or a feeling which increases in power, or on the contrary decreases in intensity, according to certain factors which depend on the context and the psychology of the person.

Qualitative jumps, on the other hand, involve a change of inner gaze.

They are the  equivalents of a conversion and entail a modification of the states of consciousness which make it possible to cross a threshold or a decisive cognitive stage, from which a person can measure or evaluate what separates him from his vision of things before.

On many occasions, I have crossed, sometimes without even having a clear awareness, qualitative thresholds while studying a subject or exploring an area.

However, the difficulty that presented itself to me was to be able to make the reader grasp these leaps of understanding, especially when the latter has not yet crossed them or when he does not recognize them.

All the articles that I have published on this site bear witness to these cognitive thresholds that I have crossed as and when I have discovered, as new forms of understanding that have been offered to me, and that I have attempted to make intelligible.

I hope that the reader can in turn follow this evolution of my thought and access my own vision of things that I would like to share in this way.
